Shawn Murrey was raised in the farm country of upstate NY. In 2004 he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in the fine arts from The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, Shawn worked for two years as The Facility Coordinator for The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass. Returning back to The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, Shawn received his masters in the fine arts in 2008. Currently Shawn is making art and working as an Adjunct Professor as well as a Technical Specialist for The New York State College of Ceramics.
